Rules and Regulations for Membership at Aer Lingus Virtual Airline.

1) General Conduct

1.1) Publication or communication appertaining to ethnic origin, religious beliefs, creed or sexuality of members will not be tolerated.
1.2) ALVA Members must respect other users and other communities so not to bring the ALVA name into disrepute 
1.3) Any complaints appertaining to an ALVA member must be sent through the appropriate channels. this will be in most instances the General Manager who will deal or escalate where necessary and enter into correspondence with the complainant.

2) Software

2.1) Members must have a genuine copy of flight simulator of choice

3) Membership

3.1) Members must provide a valid email address. If email is changed you will edit your profile to show the new one. (Please note only ALVA staff can see your email address).
3.2) Members must fly one flight a month minimum
3.3) Members can request a transfer of hours after three weeks of becoming an ALVA member. However over 15 Hours of flight must have been logged.
3.4) If a staff email requires a response from you, we expect a reply within 7 days of date sent.
3.5) Members must be 16 Years old or above.
3.6) After registration has been completed, new members then have 7 days to file their first PIREP with us. If this is not completed a warning email will be sent out to you then the deletion process will take place without prior notice.
3.7) LOA can only be requested through the LOA system in our pilot Centre, and has a ceiling of 90 days after which a fligh must be made. Pilots are only allowed 1 term of LOA in a 7 month period. However each case will be looked at individually.
3.8) New Pilots must not be connected to another VA within a staff position
3.9) A pilot who has left the VA by choice and not through any disciplinary means may reapply to ALVA. If there is a waiting list they will be placed at the bottom initially.
3.10) If a pilot has been removed from the VA twice for inactivity they will be placed on a 6 month ban list and will then be able to reapply after that term.
3.11) Pilots are not allowed to submit PIREPS for ALVA when flying with another VA
3.12) Only one email per member is allowed, any multi logging with the same email will result in an indefinite ban
3.13) Any member reserves the right to terminate their account with ALVA at any time by contacting any staff member. If this is not done it will result in notifications from Tours, Events CEO updates coming though your email
3.14) Your email will b held on file securely with ALVA during your career with us. It will be used only for our notification systems and your account access. We will not supply it to any third party.
3.15) Members are welcome to use our download section within the site along with our useful link section. ALVA have checked all file for malicious intent however files are always updated, therefore it is your responsibility to check file safety before installing. ALVA will not be held responsible for any virus or malware
3.16) ALVA reserve the right not to allow person or persons into its membership without due notice or reason.
3.17) ALVA reserves the right to delete without notice any account staff members think is a threat to the safety of the VA, website and other systems therein
3.18) Pilots are required to validate their account every 120 days by clicking on the link that is sent. Failure to complete the validation process will result in their account being terminated automatically within 14 days of the link being sent.
3.19) Members can only take the crew test once every three days on a failed result. If you are seen to be cheating, the system and the staff will ban you from the VA.

4) Flight Rules

4.1) Members are to use only SmartCars for logging flights.
4.2) No pausing of simulator in excess of 10 minutes. Please note our automated PIREP validator will not allow this.
4.3) No Simulator speed rating of more than x1, Our PIREP validation system will not allow this and your PIREP will be rejected.
4.4) No foul or abusive language on IVAO, VATSIM or SmartCars chat.
4.5) When flying a tour leg pilots cannot submit a manual PIREP more than once in a full tour.
4.6) When submitting a manual PIREP for any flight the comments box must be filled out explaining why a manual PIREP was submitted. ALVA staff reserve the right to refuse any PIREP.
